Attempted abduction of girl at SMAHS

According to scanner dialogue between police and Elk County Control, the attempted abduction of a female took place between approximately 7:55 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at St. Marys Area High School.
According to police, the female described her would-be abductors as two males wearing black ski masks and driving an older dark blue, navy or black passenger car with a back bumper that is falling off.
St. Marys City Police were dispatched to the school and the Ridgway-based Pa. State Police were assisting.
Elk County Control was asked to alert police in neighboring municipalities to be on the lookout for a vehicle matching the description.
