Bavarian Fall Fest Committee making progress

July 19, 2012

Photo submitted - The Bavarian Fall Fest Committee recently received a $2,500 donation from the St. Marys Moose to help fund the festival, which should be even bigger and better in its third year. Pictured from left to right are Barb Lechner, St. Marys Moose Club; Jim Dickinson, Moose Club; Cherie Pichler, Bavarian Fall Fest secretary; Dave Challingsworth, Moose Club; Dolly Wehler, Fall Fest chairperson; Paula Weyant, Fall Fest vice chair; and Jeff Lechner, Moose Club.

Monumental efforts have already been made, but there is a lot more work to do to make the third annual Bavarian Fall Fest the success the festival committee is aiming for.
Bavarian Fall Fest Committee Chairperson Dolly Wehler and Vice Chair Paula Weyant said they are excited at the level of interest shown for this year’s event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23.
“It’s going to be a mix, and more of what we had last year,” Weyant said, adding that they have high hopes for the event's continued success.
"We're hoping that it becomes a tradition with families where they'll plan a weekend at home and their kids will come back to town for the weekend," Weyant said.
