Bernice Airgood Meyer

Bernice Airgood Meyer, 77, of 278 Mulligan Rd., St. Marys, died at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on March 6, 1935 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Blaine and Loretta Lawton Airgood.
On Jan. 21, 1956, she married Dennis A. Meyer, who survives.
Bernice was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1953. She retired from Powdered Metal Products in 1997 after 25 years of employment.
She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church in St. Marys, having served many years as a deacon, as well as a Sunday school and Bible study teacher.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John and his wife Emma of London, Ontario and Dan and his wife Anne of St. Marys; a daughter, Terri Supon and her husband Mike of St. Marys; six grandchildren, Mathew Meyer, Rachel Meyer Kell, Rob Meyer, Stephanie Supon, Tricia Supon, and Jacob Meyer; and two great-granddaughters, Ana and Evalee Meyer.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Violet Airgood; and two brothers, Blaine and Arthur. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services for Bernice Airgood Meyer will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4 at Shiloh Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Scott Wiest officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 6-9 p.m. at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Abiding Memorial Fund of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 217 Washington St., St. Marys, PA 15857; or to the Community Nurses Hospice, 757 Johnsonburg Rd., Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857.
