Bertha A. Schneider

Bertha A. Schneider, 96, of 1004 S. Michael Road, St. Marys, died on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at her home.
She was born Dec. 13, 1914 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia Werneth Wehler. On Aug. 13, 1935 in St. Mary's Church, she married the late Raymond Schneider.
She was a member of Queen of the World Church, where she and her husband had both been active in the building of the church. She was a waitress for many years at several local restaurants. She enjoyed cooking, baking and feeding those who visited her home. She also enjoyed quilting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John Cherry of Johnsonburg, Suzanne Sadley of St. Marys, Nancy, Mrs. Don Angelo of Weedville; and Linda, Mrs. Robert Gies of St. Marys; three sons, James Schneider and his wife Debra of St. Marys, Stephen Schneider and his wife Aggie of Marysville; and Raymond Schneider Jr., and his wife Janice of ClearïŹeld; 25 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a sister, Amelia Wehler of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth M. Schneider who died July 27, 1998; four sisters, Mary Feiley, Laura Weber, Rita Hnath, Mercedes Feldbauer and 2 sisters in infancy; five brothers, Jost, Urban, LeRoy, Frederick and William Wehler; two grandchildren; a son-in-law, Paul Sadley; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Schneider.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bertha A. Schneider will be celebrated at the Queen Of The World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, Pastor  and  the Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., as concelebrants. 
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys on Monday evening from 5-8 PM.
