Beth Sweeney Kuttler
Beth Sweeney Kuttler died March 20, 2014, surrounded by family on the first day of spring 2014 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 53 years old. Beth was born to the late Eugene and Georgia Sweeney in St. Marys, on Feb. 1, 1961. She attended Elk County Christian High School and graduated in 1979. She relocated to Newport Beach, Calif. in 1983 where she met and married Randy Kuttler and had two children: Kyle (16) and Katie (14). Beth attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1996. She attained the American Jurisprudence Award in Property and Corporations and was a published member of the Law Review. She was additionally honored as Los Angeles Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2005-2006. Beth was a partner at Reich Radcliffe & Kuttler LLP. She was also a member of the American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Parent Teacher League (Elect) and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.Beth loved the outdoors, hiking, yoga, reading and writing poetry. She loved life and people, and was generous to a fault. Beth made lifelong friends wherever she went and was an inspiration to so many. She will be deeply missed.Beth is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Randy; children Kyle and Katie; sisters Chris Sweeney Wattson (Newport Beach), Terry Sweeney (Houston), and Edie Sweeney McNerney (Lakewood, Colo.); and one brother Thomas Sweeney (Orlando, Fla.); mother and father-in-law Betty and Delbert Kuttler (Palm Springs, Calif.); sisters-in-law Kim Rocca (Palo Alto) and Delise Sherer (Palm Springs, Calif.); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.A memorial service for Beth Sweeney Kuttler will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Costa Mesa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Beth’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
