Betsie A. Nelson

Betsie A. Nelson, 69, of River Road, Weedville, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, surrounded by her family at UPMC Presbyterian.
She was born Sept. 15, 1943 in Henderson, Ky., daughter of the late Richmond & Cynthia (Townsend) Dailey. On July 1, 1978, she married Vincent "Skip" Nelson Sr., who preceded her in death on March 3, 2010.
Betsie lived most of her life in DuBois and Weedville. She was a graduate of DuBois High School, Class of 1961. She retired from Rockwell in 2002 after 32 years and was currently working at the St. Marys Area Middle School cafeteria.
 She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Force, the Bennetts Valley Legion Post 978 Women’s Auxiliary and the Bennetts Valley Senior Center. She enjoyed bingo, baking, animals and time with her family.
She is survived by five children, Vincent (Janet) Nelson Jr. of State College, Linda (Kevin) Marlowe of Chester Springs, Roni Jo Burkett of Hyde, PA; Eric Wriglesworth of Mullins, S.C., and Sheila (Troy) Bauer of St. Marys; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with two more forthcoming; a brother, Walter “Skip” (Linda) Dailey of Elysburg; and a sister, Jean (Fred) Lehr of Bradfordwoods.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Dailey.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Betsie A. Nelson will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, with Father Thomas Tyler officiating. 
Interment will be held in Morningside Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.  
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Bennetts Valley Senior Center.
