Betty J. Marchiori, 84, of Hoovertown Road, Penfield, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born May 9, 1926 in Penfield, daughter of the late Jim and Annie (Marsh) Soliday.
She was married to Robert Kearney, who preceded her in death in 1948. On Oct. 5, 1949, she married Frank J. "Fritz" Marchiori, who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2009.
She was a lifelong Penfield resident and worked from 1963 until 2001 at the Huston Township Elementary School cafeteria. She was also a member of Penfield Presbyterian Church, serving as its treasurer for many years, as well as the treasurer for the Penfield Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary. She truly enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by three children, Karl Marchiori of Penfield, Cassie Kunselman of Penfield and Dennis Kearney of DuBois; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore Soliday; three sisters, Clara Mann, Fannie Boyer and Catherine Palumbo; and by a son, James "Tink" Kearney.
Funeral services for Betty J. Marchiori will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, with Rev. Ken Sherwood.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Force.
Visitation will be held at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
