Blanket project warms hearts of elderly residents

Patty Greene and her merry elves recently visited Elk Haven Nursing Home to spread some Christmas cheer by distributing blankets, stockings and other small gifts to elderly residents.
"The smiles on the people melted my heart, I lost my voice as I stood there all teary eyed watching as my gang full of love and good wishes walked down those halls," Greene said. "It was amazing and I was wishing that all of the people who opened up their hearts were there to witness what they helped me do."
In total 120 blankets and 30 stockings were gifted to residents. Additional items were displayed on a table for whomever needed them.
