Dutch swim team members faring well at PIAA championships

The 200 medley relay team placed sixth with a time of 1:39.80 while the 200 freestyle relay team placed fourth with a time of 1:28.39. Dippold also finished in fourth place in the 50 freestyle event with a time of 21.32 seconds.

After the first day of competition at the PIAA Class AA swimming championships at Bucknell University, the St. Marys Area Flying Dutch squad is in sixth place with a total of 41 points.

CLARION - The Sewickley Academy Panthers ended the Elk County Catholic Crusader basketball season last night in the second round of the PIAA Class A tournament by a 41-19 score in a game played at Clarion University’s Waldo Tippin Gymnasium.

The Elk County Catholic High School cheerleading squad repeated as champions of the District 9 Cheerleading Competition on Saturday, Feb. 20. The competition was held starting at 11 a.m. at Elk County Catholic High School.
