Carl W. Cook

Carl W. Cook, 80, of 1102 Horner Rd., Wilcox, died Friday morning, August 9, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys following a brief illness.
He was born July 7, 1933 in Hazel Hurst, son of the late Carl R. and Lillian Dippo Cook.
He married Beverly Marlene Johnson on November 20, 1954 in the Wilcox Presbyterian Church, and she survives.
Formerly of James City, he resided in Wilcox since 1958.
He was a graduate of the Kane High School and a member of the Wilcox Presbyterian Church and Wilcox Sportsmen's Club.
He was a Korean era veteran, serving as a Pfc. Military Policeman.
He was employed by National Fuel for 27 years, retiring in 1993. He had previously worked for Stackpole Corp. of Kane.
In addition to his wife at home, he is survived by four sons, Scott Cook and his wife Valerie of Ridgway, Layne Cook and his wife Brenda of Erie, Dale Cook and his wife Patty of Wilcox, and Barry Cook and his wife Trish of Ridgway; a daughter, Susan, Mrs. Jim Smith of Wilcox; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Zuzek of Kane.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Cook; and three sisters, Delores Milford, Grace Keras, and Dorothy Spaulding.
A Memorial Service for Carl W. Cook will be conducted at the Wilcox Presbyterian Church at a later date and will be announced. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Cantaral, pastor.
Interment will be in Wilcox Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
