Carmen A. Tegano

Carmen A. Tegano, 84, of Christ The King Manor, DuBois, died on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Ridgway, the son of the late Joseph P. and Villa (Eleanor) Rosario Tegano. He married Elizabeth Ellen Eckl, who predeceased him on Oct. 6, 1981.
Mr. Tegano had resided in Ridgway all of his life. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. He graduated from Ridgway Area High School. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
He retired from Allegheny Chemical, Inc., in Ridgway and was a PFC in the U.S. Army, 3rd Battalion, Stand By Reserves for five years.
He is survived by three sons, Anthony J. Tegano of Ridgway, Joseph P. Tegano of Penfield, and John M. Tegano Sr. of Ridgway; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Dominic Tegano; two sisters, Catherine Griech and Mary Marroni; and by a granddaughter, Teresa Koch.
A Memorial Mass for Carmen A. Tegano will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian Vossler, pastor. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
