Carol Ann Timm

Carol Ann Timm, 59, formerly of St. Marys, died quietly at her home in Colorado Springs, CO, on Feb. 20, 2011 following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1952, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Robert A. "Rube" Timm and Helen Ambuske Timm.
She is survived by five sisters and two brothers, Mary, Mrs. Gary Chiaccio of Delran, New Jersey, Robert "Andy" Timm of St. Marys, Margaret Timm Mainwaring of Orlando, Florida, Louise Timm Harvester of Bernville, Jane, Mrs. Fred Schmader of Austintown, Ohio, William C. Timm of Dallas, Texas, and Paula, Mrs. Charles Grose of Mohrsville; three nephews and 10 nieces; and three grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.
She graduated from Elk County Christian High School in 1969 and received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1973 and her master's degree in speech and hearing education from Clarion University in 1975. She was employed by the Pueblo, Colorado public schools and the Colorado Springs school system, retiring after 31 years of service. Her dedication and compassion touched the lives of thousands of speech and hearing-impaired students. She enjoyed traveling, bicycling, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
A memorial service for Carol Ann Timm is planned for St. Peter's Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, CO at 12:30 p.m. on March 5. A second memorial service will be held later in the spring near Reading.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Elk County Catholic High School, Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, or Colorado Families for Hands and Voices.
