Chamber Door Busters aimed at growing memberships

In an effort to attract individual members to the organization as well as promoting area businesses and their products, the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce is launching Chamber Door Buster days beginning today.
"In the past the Chamber has offered member-to-member discounts, but we've never focused on individual discounts," explained St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce Community Outreach Coordinator Ashley O'Dell. "While we still have great benefits for our business members, this year's membership is focused on individuals and what we can do for them."
O'Dell added that by belonging to the Chamber, members can access valuable everyday discounts all over town at area retailers.
Chamber Door Busters are one-day specials offered by Chamber businesses.
Today's special, which is available from 12-6 p.m., includes ground chuck for 99 cents/lb. at Save-A-Lot, with a limit of 10 lbs. per person.
In order to take advantage of the door buster offers, patrons must be present during the hours of the sale and present their 2012 membership card to the Chamber associate at the event. Members will then automatically receive the discount awarded at the register.
Reproduction of member cards will not be accepted.
