The St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce is closing in on their $18,000 firework fundraising goal. To date they have $4,000 yet to raise before the July 3 St. Marys Independence Day Celebration.
"We're having a great year for fundraising. The community's been very supportive," said Ashley O'Dell, Chamber outreach coordinator.
O'Dell emphasized the Chamber is happily accepting any amount of donations from individuals, family, businesses and industry. Those donations may be dropped off at the Chamber office, mailed in or picked up by O'Dell.
