Charles J. "Chuck" Boylan

Charles J. "Chuck" Boylan, 82, of S. Michael Circle, St. Marys, died on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 6, 1928 in St. Marys, son of the late Joseph and Laura O'Hern Boylan.
On October 27, 1951 in St. Mary's Church, he married the late Eileen A. Hanes Boylan, who preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2008.
Mr. Boylan was a lifetime resident of St. Marys and was a member of St. Mary's Church. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1949. He retired from Straub Brewery after many years of service as a mechanic. He enjoyed spending time tinkering around his home and gardening. He was a longtime patron of Monica's Restaurant, where he enjoyed many meals and often visited daily. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters and one son, Dineen, Mrs. Carl Gamarino of Brockport, Janice, Mrs. Robert Garner of St. Marys and Joseph Boylan and his wife Trudy of St. Marys; three grandchildren, C.J. and Stephen Gamarino and Samantha Garner; a brother, Patrick "Bits" Boylan and his wife Sharon of Mt. Joy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife of more than 57 years, Eileen A. Hanes Boylan, he was preceded in death by a sister, Claire "Petty" Hanes, and two brothers, Richard and John Boylan.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles J. "Chuck" Boylan will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, as celebrant.
There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
