Christian C. Cordero

Christian C. Cordero, 23, of 131 Dove Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in State College.
He was born Dec. 23, 1988 in St. Marys, son of Adelardo and Nanette Soriano Cordero, who survive, of St. Marys. He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Elk County Catholic High School in 2007. He attended South Hills College in State College. He had also attended Penn College. He was in the diagnostic sonography program in school and was active in basketball, football and the Cavalier basketball program.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Zheilla Marie Cordero of Long Beach, Calif.; his paternal grandmother, Gloria Dayrit-Cordero of the Philippines; maternal aunts, Sarah Soriano of Pasadena, Calif., and Pia Soriano of Jacksonville, Fla., Susie Soriano, Susan Soriano, Bernardette Soriano of California and Mae Soriano of Texas; maternal uncles, Manuel C. Soriano III of Altedena, Calif. Adrian Soriano of the Philippines, Michael Soriano of Altedena, Calif. and Lyndon Soriano of Los Angeles, Callif.; paternal aunts, Victoria Cordero, Rowena Cordero, and Elaine Cordero and Lorence Cordero-Pineda, both of the Philippines; and paternal uncles, Enrico Cordero and William Cordero, both of the Philippines.
He was loved by all his cousins: Rhea, Aris, Michael, Connor, Ryan, Faith, Kyle, Caden and Noah Soriano, and also, Karen, Karla and Karlo Pineda, and Erica, Clark, Cleo, Irah, Ina and Ila Cordero.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dr. Manuel and Ofelia Soriano Jr.; and by his paternal grandfather, Abelardo Cordero.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Christian C. Cordero will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 12 p.m., with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson OSB, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
