Christine M. Schloder, 43, of 2926 Maple Lane, Wilcox, died on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 following a brief illness.
She was born July 21, 1967 in St. Marys, a daughter of Thomas Schloder and Diane Arnold Schloder, both of St. Marys, who survive.
Christine worked for some time at CAPSEA and was a proud volunteer ï¬reï¬ghter for the Penï¬eld Fire Department. She was lovingly known as "Christine the Juggler" and loved entertaining people. She helped others by founding the organization SHEPP, Self Help Education Prevention Program, and authoring a book about bipolar disorder. Her achievements also included the production of a video to boost self-esteem. She enjoyed working as an equipment operator with her father and spending time with her beloved dog, Zoey. She had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, ï¬shing and stargazing. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will always be remembered for her kindness.
In addition to her father, Thomas Schloder and his wife Kimberly, and her mother, Diane Arnold Schloder, she is survived by two daughters, Sheena Stefano of Indiana, and Jessica Stefano and her ï¬ance, Michael Fiore of St. Marys; a granddaughter, Kahlan Fiore; three sisters, Cyndi Schloder of St. Marys, Lori Krise and her companion, Eric Elmquist, of St. Marys and Amy, Mrs. Michael Ryan, of Scranton; her maternal grandmother, Mariam Arnold of St. Marys, longtime friend, Andy Lecker of Wilcox; and a niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Wilfred and Dolores Schloder and her maternal grandfather, John Arnold; and by a brother, John Schloder.
Funeral services for Christine M. Schloder will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 140 N. St. Marys St., St. Marys, on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Chris Kindle, pastor, and Rev. Robert Dornan ofï¬ciating.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
