Over $1,000 was raised during the Christmas Spectacular Concert performed by the Nicholas J. Sinibaldi Concert Band and Choir on Sunday, Dec. 22, and the proceeds were recently divided between the Crystal Fire Department and the St. Marys Area High School Music Department, which allowed their facility and instruments to be used for the rehearsals and performance.
Fire Chief Bill Kraus and President Tom Bauer expressed their appreciation for the donation and indicated that the funds will be put toward the purchase of a new utility pickup truck.
