The fight to uphold the city's stormwater management ordinance continues as the city plans to submit revisions to their ordinance as suggested by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
St. Marys is the only Elk County municipality, as well as one of the very few municipalities in the DEP Northwest region, that has not adopted an ordinance specific to their county.
City Solicitor Tom Wagner plans to send the DEP a second revision of the city's ordinance as unanimously approved by St. Marys City Council during their Monday evening workshop.
The city has been negotiating back and forth with the DEP Meadville office for several months regarding the matter.
