City proclaims Feb. 23 in Benedictine Sisters honor

The celebration to honor and thank the Benedictine Sisters of St. Joseph Monastery will be held this Sunday afternoon, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at Queen of the World Church. There will be vespers and a program in the church followed by a social in the cafeteria. 

The City of St. Marys has declared Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 as "Honoring the Benedictine Sisters of St. Joseph Monastery Day."
The proclamation, approved by members of City Council, reads that "in celebration of their presence in our community, their significant contributions, their prayerful witness, and their encouragement to our citizenry on the pilgrim journey."
