Clarence Leroy Russell Sr.

Clarence Leroy Russell Sr., 57, of 30 Peters Road, Brockport, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at Elk Regional Medical Center in St. Marys.
He was born May 26, 1954 in Bradford, son of the late Richard and Mary Smith Russell.
On December 31, 1985, he married April Davis, who survives.
He was a member at the Brockport United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Horton Twp. Sportsmen's Club, Brockport Army/Navy Club and Horton-Brockway Area Lions Club. He also served as a Boy Scout leader for many years. He also enjoyed fishing.
He had been previously been employed as a laborer at Metco in St. Marys.
He was a member of the National Guard for over 13 years.
In addition to his wife, April Russell of Brockport, he is survived by a daughter, Mary (Daniel) Baer of Blairsville; two sons, Clarence Russell VI and Richard Russell, both of Brockport; two brothers, Richard Russell of Burt, N.Y. and Randy Russell of Ridgway; a sister, Sharon Russell of Buffalo, N.Y.; and a half-brother, James (Lori) Krug of Brockway.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Mark Krug.
A memorial service for Clarence Leroy Russell Sr. will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Officiating will be Pastor Joni Williams.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
