Conservation District discusses new and old projects

RIDGWAY – The Elk County Conservation District held its regular monthly meeting on Monday to discuss the creation and continuation of several projects, a search for a new employee and the new state budget. Among the projects that were discussed at the meeting were continuing assistance in flood cleanup, a West Creek Wetland project and a dirt and gravel road program. The West Creek Wetland project is currently waiting on a reconstruction estimate that should be received by this Wednesday at the latest, while both of the other projects have been underway and will continue.
