Constable Ziegler could be answer to budget crisis

December 13, 2012

Photo by Joseph Bell Dave Ziegler, a Pa. State Constable, said Thursday that he may be able to help the county save money after the sheriff's office was reported as exceeding its 2012 budget.

A new dimension has been added to the ongoing battle between the county's board of commissioners and the sheriff's department.
With the sheriff's department reportedly over budget by $9,000 by the year's end, the board of commissioners reportedly will not cover the overage and Elk County Sheriff Jeffrey C. Krieg filed a civil complaint on behalf of his department against the board.
