Corbett asks SBA for disaster declaration

May 30, 2014

Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-Brockway) said Friday that Governor Tom Corbett has requested a disaster declaration for areas in Elk County impacted by flooding last week.
"[Corbett] has sent a letter to the United States Small Business Administration to request a disaster declaration," Scarnati said. "This disaster declaration would enable residents and business owners with property damaged by the massive rains to be eligible for low interest loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration.
