Council approves police promotions protocol

City of St. Marys Police Chief Todd Caltagarone discussed new procedures and promotions for police personnel during City Council's Monday work session.
Monday evening, St. Marys City Council approved several items ranging from parking updates to CDBG applications to new protocol for police promotions.
Council unanimously approved a resolution establishing the procedures for promotion within the City of St. Marys Police Department.
Greene said the resolution was reviewed by City Solicitor Tom Wagner as well as the Civil Service Commission.
