Council discusses business items

At its recent meeting, St. Marys City Council approved a request introduced by Brad Brunner, pastor of the Faith Baptist Church in St. Marys, who was on hand as a representative of the St. Marys Ministerial Association. The association requested the use of the Diamond for a 6:30 a.m. Easter sunrise service on April 8, as well as on May 3 for a National Day of Prayer service at 6 p.m. Brunner said the Easter service should only last 45 minutes.
Councilman Ned Jacob inquired about an expenditure reported in January for $333 in damage to a window of a St. Marys City Police Department vehicle, as well as a $230 expenditure for damage in March.
