Council, Shade Tree to work together on compromise

Photo by Amy Cherry Local boy scout Stephen Labant joined St. Marys Mayor Sally Geyer and City Manager Dave Greene at the start of Monday evening's City Council meeting where he led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Labant was in attendance to observe a local government meeting as part of a Boy Scout project.

Three members of St. Marys City Council volunteered to work with the Shade Tree Commission in making changes within the organization as discussed during Monday evening's council meeting.
Councilman Bob Roberts reported he recently met with Shade Tree Commission Chairperson Gail Shturtz along with two other members of the commission.
During the meeting Roberts asked if the commission would be willing to work with council toward instating changes.
