Crusader golfers defeat St. Marys Wednesday afternoon

The Elk County Catholic Crusader golf team defeated St. Marys 207-235 on Wednesday afternoon in a match played at the Bavarian Hills Golf Course.
The medalist for the day was Elk Catholic's Mitchell Struble with a five-over-par round of 40.
Also for the Crusaders, Elliott Struble and Kristy Hanes each carded a 41, Brandon Schlimm had a 42, Bruno Cavalline and Jess Jaynes each shot 43, Drew Meyer recorded a 44, and Garrett Reuscher finished with a 57.
The low scorer for St. Marys was Owen Schreiber with a 42.
Also for the Dutchmen, Quinn Cunningham had a 43, Garrett Wendel shot a 48, Dillon Gallagher carded a 49, Jordan Wehler had a 50, Kyle Pistner finished with a 51, Rudy Gleixner shot a 52, and Justin Beimel finished with a 53.
The Crusaders' Elliott Struble and Mitchell Struble will both be back in action on Saturday, along with St. Marys' Owen Schreiber, in the boys' D9 golf championship at Bavarian Hills.
ECC's Kristy Hanes will be in action again on Monday in the girls' D9 golf championship at the Pinecrest Country Club in Brookville.
The Crusader squad will travel to Kane on Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. match.
The Dutchmen will also be in action on Tuesday as they host the Ridgway Elkers in a 3:30 p.m. match.
