Dale Richard "Rich" Haizlett

Dale Richard "Rich" Haizlett, 73, of 113 Poplar Rd., died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 8, 1937 in Philadelphia, son of the late Ralph E. and Elnor M. Marsteller Haizlett.
Haizlett was a resident of the area for the past 10 years. He received his bachelor's degree from Westminster College, where he was a proud member and past president of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He taught at several different Allegheny schools around Pennsylvania, then retired from the Broward County, FL school district after many years of being an educator. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his dog, Princess. He enjoyed wintering in Florida and going RVing.  He especially enjoyed boxing, going to camp and spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Bobbi Jo, Mrs. Chris Webber of Melbourne, FL, as well as his longtime companion, Helen Rhines of St. Marys and her family, Kim Salone of DuBois, Lisa Lavella of Kersey, Jackie Rhines of St. Marys and Patty, Mrs. Rick Szczotka of Ridgway, and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry Haizlett.
Friends of Dale Richard "Rich" Haizlett will be received for a memorial gathering at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Thursday, Oct. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.
