Damien A. Hadsell, 15, of River Road, Weedville, died unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010.
He was born Nov. 15, 1994, in Wellsville, NY.
He was a sophomore at St. Marys Area High School. He enjoyed writing music under the pen name of "Damz." He was born in Wellsville, NY, and raised in Bolivar, NY, and had been a Bennetts Valley resident for one-and-a-half years.
He is survived by his parents, David and Teresa (Lewis) Gray of Weedville; a sister, Chelsea Lewis of Bolivar, NY; two stepbrothers, Joel Hadsell and Zachary Hadsell, both of North Carolina; two half brothers, Dustin Layman and Nathanial Rose, both of North Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Sandra (Denning) Lewis of Bolivar, NY; and his paternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Layman of Belmont, NY.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Hadsell, and maternal grandfather, George Lewis.
Funeral services for Damien Hadsell will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the J. W. Embser & Son Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY, with Pastor David Herne officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, and on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the J. W. Embser & Son Funeral Home in Wellsville, NY.
