David Wayne Blazek

David Wayne Blazek, 59, of 212 Teaberry Rd., St. Marys, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 21, 1953 in East Bernard, Texas, son of the late Bill and Letha Hintz Blazek.
On June 24, 1978, in the St. Thomas More Church in Houston, Texas, he married Patty Treylinek, who survives.
He had resided in St. Marys since 1980. Mr. Blazek was a graduate of East Bernard High School, Class of 1971, attended the Wharton Junior College and was a graduate of the University of Houston Pharmacy School in 1976.
He and his wife were the owners of the former Central Drug Store in St. Marys and most recently he was employed by the Walmart pharmacy in Bradford.
Mr. Blazek was a member of the Queen of the World Church and enjoyed sports, especially racquetball, skiing, tennis and golf. He was a former member of the K of C and the Board of Drug and Alcohol in McKean County.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sarah Blazek of Pittsburgh; a son, Andrew Blazek of Baltimore, Md.; a granddaughter, Madeline Richards of Pittsburgh; one sister, Carolyn Pilcik (Daniel) of East Bernard, Texas; and a brother, Bob Blazek (Melba) of East Bernard, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his five-month-old son, David Patrick, in 1985.
A Mass of Christian Burial for David Wayne Blazek will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Friday, Jan. 4, 2012 at noon, with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, Center Street, on Thursday, Jan. 3 from 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, may be made to the Community Nurses, Inc., 757 Johnsonburg Rd., Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857.
