Dawn E. Baker, 49, of 106 Abbot Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, March 4, 2012 at her residence following an illness of the past several months.
She was born July 29, 1962 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Robert and Marion Stewert Hoffman.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1980. She was employed at MPP in St. Marys.
She is survived by fiance Melvin Shelander of St. Marys; two daughters, Brandi (Francis) Elmquist of Weedville and Heather Cathers of Ridgway; one son, Robert (Tara) Cathers IV of Bradford; two stepsons, Melvin and Aric Shelander, both of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Jayden, Jaxen, and Jamryn Elmquist; one sister, June (Brock) King of Texas; and two brothers, Paul Elmquist of Florida and Bobby Elmquist of Arizona.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Elmquist; and a sister, Paula Lowry.
Funeral and committal services for Dawn E. Baker will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
There will be no visitation.
The Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
