Decisions pending in Hooper child endangerment hearing

August 10, 2013

SMETHPORT – The attorney for Pastor Mark Hooper of Mount Jewett asked Judge John Cleland to drop the charge of endangerment of the welfare of a child in a hearing on Friday afternoon at the McKean County Courthouse.
Attorney Joseph Charlton petitioned the court to drop the endangerment charge, arguing that the “missing of a meal” or not taking the children to a doctor does not rise to the level of endangerment.
