BENEZETTE – The first ever Elk Country Multi-County Democratic picnic was celebrated Saturday afternoon at the Dudley Farm in Benezette.
The event, sponsored by the Elk County Democratic Committee, featured addresses from several state and federal candidates.
Among the candidates was Jack Donahue, a Democratic nominee for the 75th District of the state House of Representatives. A Penn State graduate and strong proponent for public education, he resides in Treasure Lake with his wife and daughter.
