Dennis A. Wolfe

April 2, 2012

Dennis A. Wolfe, 75, of Rattlesnake Road in Brockport, died on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1936 in St. Marys to the late Joseph and Loretta Eckert Wolfe. On Oct. 29, 1994, he married Naomi R. Heise, who survives.
Dennis was a long-time resident of Phoenix, Ariz., moving there in the early 1970s. He moved back to the Brockport area in the early 1980s. He attended the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, especially taking trips out West. He also enjoyed fishing and any activity that involved being outdoors. He always kept himself busy working. His family was the most important thing in his life and they always came first.
Dennis was retired and had worked as a self-employed carpenter/contractor. In his later years, he was employed as a union carpenter in Arizona and Pennsylvania. This was something he was very proud of.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Wolfe of State College; three sisters, Dorie Woelfel, Jean Brem and Roseann Mahovlich; and three brothers, David, James and Alvin Wolfe, all of St. Marys.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and Vinny Wolfe.
Funeral services for Dennis A. Wolfe will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. Clair Lundberg officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
