Diane M. Boroi

Diane M. Boroi, 65, of 461 Toby Rd., Kersey, died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, 2011, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 30, 1946, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Miles) Swanson. On July 31, 1965, she married Irvin J. Boroi, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2001.
She had resided in Kersey most of her life and was a member of the Toby United Methodist Church, the Fox Township Ambulance Service, the Fox Township Fire Department Auxiliary, and had been a Girl Scout leader. She had been employed by state Rep. Dan Surra.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca C. Darr and her husband Keith of Emporium; a son, James M. Boroi and his wife Kelly of Wilcox; two grandchildren, Cheyenne and Chloe Darr; two sisters, Pauline Luzier and her husband Preston of Clearfield, and Barbara Burgesson of California; a stepsister, Mary Jane Curry and her husband Dennis of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin Dusch.
Funeral and committal services for Diane M. Boroi will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Joni Williams, pastor of the Toby United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
