District approves personnel items

The St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors approved several personnel items during their recent meeting.
Among the latest personnel changes approved by the St. Marys Area School District Board of Directors are new hires of professional personnel, the awarding of numerous supplemental contracts and several resignations.
All employment recommendations are provisional for 30 days pending receipt of Act 151, clearance documentation.
Among the new hires in the district are the following positions:
•Mollie Anzinger for the new position as a special education liaison for the district. Anzinger holds a doctorate in education and is certified in special education newborn-12, elementary education grades K-6, mid-level English and mathematics grades 7-9. She attended Edinboro, Gannon and Slippery Rock universities.
•Nicole Meyer, special education teacher, at St. Marys Area Middle School. Meyer holds a master’s degree in education plus 15 additional credits from Gannon, Edinboro and Slippery Rock universities.
•Hannah Platko as a school psychologist serving the entire district. Platko holds a master’s degree in education, science and school psychology from Edinboro University. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Penn State University.
