Dixie Gornati

Dixie Gornati, 48, of Byrnedale, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
She was born April 5, 1963 in Florida, the daughter of the late Cyrus Wells and Kathleen (Harlan) Rollick.  
She lived all her life in Bennetts Valley. She attended St. Marys schools and worked for many years in the St. Marys Area School District. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by a son, Abraham Gornati and his partner Jolene Smith of St. Marys; two grandchildren; three brothers, Mike Rollick and his wife Julia of Byrnedale, Bill Rollick and his wife Barb of Weedville, and Petie Wells and his partner Debby Blessel of St. Marys; and a sister, Pauline and her husband Rich Meyer of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Sonie Martino and Mary Levenduski; and by a brother, Robert Rollick.
Funeral services for Dixie Gornati will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield.  
Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Weedville.
Visitation will take place Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday, September 19, 2011 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
