Dominick (Nick) Sette

Dominick (Nick) Sette, 78, of 178 Evers Ave. St. Marys, died Friday Dec. 9, 2011 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born December 16, 1932 in Ridgway, son of the late Frank and Concettina Curado Sette.
On May 4, 1957, in the Sacred Heart Church, he married Beverly Klancer, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Ridgway schools. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company and Carbone, retiring in 1997 after 40 years of service. Dominic was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the Army. He enjoyed hunting and doing auto body work and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by; two daughters, Kathleen A. Sette of Mechanicsburg and Tina M. Whiting (Joe Lorenzo) of St. Marys; three sons, Timothy P. Sette of St. Marys, Dominick P. Sette (Tina Herbstritt) of St. Marys and John C. Sette (Lisa Challingsworth) of St. Marys; seven grandchildren Nicos Sette, Sara Sette, Cameron Whiting, Logan Whiting, David Sette, Sophia Sette and Jayna Sette. Also surviving are four sisters, Dolores Sette of Ridgway, Mary (Mackina) Harrier of Emporium, Viola Eckert of St. Marys and Dora (Anthony) Santiso of Ridgway; three brothers, Carmen Sette (Magdalena) of Genona, Spain, Joseph Sette of Lock Haven and Patsy Sette (Ann) of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Frank Sette, two sisters, Rosemary Iorfida and in infancy Mackina Sette and by a brother John Sette.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Dominick (Nick) Sette will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
