Donald Edward Smitley

Donald Edward Smitley, 57, of Dunbar, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at his residence.
He was born April 25, 1956 in Connellsville, son of the late Howard R. Smitley and Betty Klink Smitley.
Don was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend.
He was a Union Secretary of the former Foseco Corp., a member of the Old Time Fiddlers, Irishtown Sportsman Club, Dunbar Boys Blue Grass Band and a member and superintendant of Pechin Chapel.
He worked as a lift operator for Sony.
Surviving are his wife, Judi Uher Smitley and daughter, Jennifer Gelsick and husband, Mikey of St. Marys and brother, Rick Smitley of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Grace Uher.
Friends of Donald Edward Smitley will be received 2-9 p.m., on Thursday and noon-9 p.m. on Friday in the Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar.
Additional visitation in Pechin Chapel in Dunbar will be on Saturday from 10-11 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Chris Varney, Pastor Lee Maley, and Pastor Tim Smitley officiating. Please go directly to the church.
Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
