Doris L. Skok

Doris L. Skok, 81, a resident of Cedar Ridge Retirement Village in Washington State and formerly a resident of St. Marys, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in her home following a brief illness.
She was born May 26, 1932 in Granville, daughter of the late Lillian Feldbauer.
She was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1950.
On August 8, 1954, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Thomas Skok and he preceded her in death in 2009.
Mrs. Skok was a former employee of Airco Speer.
More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was surrounded with much love by all of them during her final days. She loved St. Marys, and will therefore return home to be buried in the St Mary's Cemetery. She will be missed.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Skok, Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Marilyn Skok-Trojanek, also of Chicago, Ill., and Sherry Vandersnick and Laurie Roughton in Washington state; five grandsons, Russell and Joe Vandersnick , and J.J., Ricky, and Charlie Roughton; and two great-granddaughters, Emily and Karlee Vandersnick, all in Washington State. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews
In addition to her husband, mother, and step-father, Harold “Knocker” Feldbauer, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Skok at birth.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 4 p.m. on August 3 at Gunner's Restaurant in St. Marys.
