Dormilee Ellen Feustel

Dormilee Ellen Feustel, 78, born and raised in Ridgway, died Monday, Nov. 15 at Conestoga View in Lancaster, under hospice care. She resided with her daughter, Cheryl Keener, for many years in East Petersburg until October 2010 after a terminal illness.
She was a member of the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Mountsville. She had many musical accomplishments, including singing for many weddings. One of her favorite recognitions was directing and starring as the Mother Abbess in "The Sound of Music" in November 1969 as part of the Footlighters Theater Group of Elk County.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Keener; a son, Mark Feustel (Cindy) of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers and sisters, Louise Larson of CT, Robert Matha of Appolo, and Richard Matha, Nancy Rosetti, Dolores Kriegish and Peggy Mitchell, all of Ridgway; grandchildren Joshua Keener, Amanda Mitcheltree and Chris Mitcheltree of Lancaster, John Feustel of Rochester, NY, and Sarah York (Feustel) of CO; and great-grandchildren Judah Asher York and Fox Alan Mitcheltree.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Louise Feustel, and a sister, Betty Birch.
Memorial services for Dormilee Ellen Feustel will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 3, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, with Rev. David C. Roddy, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
