Dorothy Jane Knouse

Dorothy Jane Knouse died on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home in San Antonio, Texas following a brief illness.
She was born on April 19, 1933 in Texas, daughter of the late James and Alice Baxter and daughter-in-law of the late Roland (Tex) and Lavina Knouse of St. Marys.
She married Russell Knouse in 1950 in the chapel at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Russel Roland Knouse; four sons, James, Eric, Russell and Gary; three daughters, Sherry Knouse, Pam (Knouse) Holmberg and Bridget (Knouse) Chadwick; two brothers, James Baxter and L.B. Baxter; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. All are from the Texas area.
In addition to her parents and in-laws, she was predeceased by one sister, Peggy Smith; one son, Jeffrey Alan Knouse and her in-laws Roland (Tex) and Lavina Knouse.
Services for Dorothy Jane Knouse were held at St. Helena's Catholic Church on July 13 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association in Dorothy's name, or condolences and donations for the hospice care may be sent to Russell R. Knouse, 6426 Ridge Circle Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78233-3908.
