KANE â€“ An affidavit of probable cause filed in Magisterial District Court 48-3-04 shows Kathleen S. Douglas, age 37, of North Tionesta Avenue, Kane, had "levels of the Schedule IV controlled substance Clonazepam (that) were several times greater than they should have been given the dosage prescribed" when she was involved in a fatal crash that killed six people.
According to reports, the prescription was filled on Aug. 30 and picked up by Kathy Douglas at 3:30 p.m. The defendant was prescribed 60, .5 milligram Clonazepam pills and was able to take one tablet by mouth twice a day. As noted, the prescription bottle at the time of the crash the next day contained just 33 pills.
