Dr. Joseph H. Jones

Dr. Joseph H. Jones, 79, of Fort Myers, Fla., died on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.
He was born Jan. 24, 1932 in Philadelphia, a son of the late Joseph H. and Florence (Bradway) Jones Sr.
Formerly of Millville, N.J., Joseph had been a resident of Fort Myers since 1991. He was a proud graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic University in St. Louis, Mo. After graduation, Dr. Jones opened his own practice, serving the community of Millville, N.J. as a chiropractor for 40 years.
During his retirement,  Joseph was employed as a security guard at Estero High School in Estero, Fla., a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Dr. Jones was also an ordained minister and very active at Park Alliance Church, where he taught Sunday School and held Bible Study Group.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, June H. (Champion) Jones; three loving children, Dr. Daniel D. Jones of St. Marys; David G. Jones of Bridgeton, N.J. and Dr. Deborah Jones of Bridgeton, N.J.; 16 cherished grandchildren, including Joshua Jones of Weedville; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Dr. Joseph H. Jones will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Park Alliance Church, 7469 San Carlos Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33967. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Estero High School, 21900 River Ranch Rd., Estero, FL 33928; or to the Park Alliance Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
