Dutch gymnasts compete at PA Classic Individual Meet

Six members of the St. Marys Area gymnastics squad competed in the PA Classic Individual Meet held at Moon Township last Friday and Saturday.
In the bronze divisions, Michaela Sorg competed in the all-around and placed fifth on vault with an 8.45. Mackenzie Neureiter competed in vault, beam and floor.
In the silver division, Megan Longhi competed in the all-around and placed 10th on the vault with an 8.733. Abby Wittman competed on the vault, while Justin Huey tied for fourth on the vault and placed seventh in the uneven bars.
In the gold division, Molly Eshbach, who was only the second SMA gymnast to qualify and compete in this division, competed in the all-around.
This week finds the SMA gymnasts preparing for their last meet at the PA Classic Team Championships, to be held this weekend in Chambersburg.
Senior members competing will be Molly Eshbach and Megan Longhi in the all-around and Bobbi Fox in the balance beam. Junior Michaela Sorg will be competing in the all-around. Sophomore members Abby Wittman and Laurel Pierotti will also be competing, Wittman in the vault, bars and floor and Pierotti as an alternate for the balance beam. Freshman Mackenzie Neureiter will be competing in the all-around.
