Dutch tennis blanks Bradford 9-0

The St. Marys Area boys tennis team defeated the Bradford Owls 9-0 on Monday afternoon in a match played at the St. Marys Area High School tennis courts.
At first singles, St. Marys' Michael Fox won easily 6-1, 6-1 against Cody Bly.
Dutchman Evan Lepovetsky defeated Connor Nickel 6-0, 6-1 at second singles.
At third singles, St. Marys' D.J. Challingsworth won his match 6-0, 6-2 against R.J. Jordan.
At fourth singles, Jarrod Lipsey came out on top for St. Marys Area 6-4, 6-4 against Josh Mongillo.
At fifth singles, Gary Fledderman also picked up a win for the Dutchmen, beating Jeff Cattoni 6-0, 6-0.
"The boys played well in their singles matches with little trouble against their opponents," said St. Marys coach Sue Lepovetsky.
At first doubles, the St. Marys duo of Evan Lepovetsky and Michael Fox won their match 8-2 against Cody Bly and Connor Nickel.
At second doubles, Dutchmen Jarrod Lipsey and Dalton Gennocro won their match 8-6 against R.J. Jordan and Josh Mongillo.
At third doubles, St. Marys Area's Gary Fledderman and Eric Uhl recorded an 8-3 victory over Pat Hollenbeck and Jeff Cattoni.
At fourth doubles, Zachary Fox and Deric Luvaas picked up the final win for the Dutchmen, defeating Tyler Stratus and Kyle Frombach 8-4.
The Dutchmen are now 6-3 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday in the D9 AA team semifinals when they host the Brockway Rovers at 2 p.m. at the SMAHS courts. The squad will also host Johnsonburg on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
