Earl E. Robertson Jr.

Earl E. Robertson Jr., 88, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of Ridgway and Bethel Park, Pa., died on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 27, 1924 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Earl E. and Martha G. Holiday Robertson Sr.
On March 17, 1948 in Pittsburgh, he married the late Victorine Walter Robertson, who preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2010.
Mr. Robertson was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Ridgway. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He retired from PMA Insurance Company after more than 35 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and enjoyed traveling, vacationing at the ocean and spending time with his dogs. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Denise, Mrs. Lee Reider of St. Marys; a son, Roy E. Robertson and his wife Janice of Raymore, Mo.; six grandchildren, Eric (Shannon) Reider, Victoria (Eddie) Yarbrough, Samantha (Josh) Constable, Casey (Rebecca) Robertson, Emily (Jason) Vaughan, and Mathew (Tracy) Roberson; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral and committal services for Earl E. Robertson Jr. will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the Ridgway Area School District libraries.
