ECCSS to incorporate iPads into curriculum

April 12, 2012

Photo submitted - As part of ECCSS' iPad initiative which will be implemented in the 2012-2013 school year, a group of St. Marys Catholic Elementary School students are shown working on iPads. Each ECCHS student and faculty member will receive an iPad in the fall, along with faculty and mobile iPad labs at the middle and elementary schools.

Beginning in the fall, the Elk County Catholic School System will incorporate iPads into their curriculum.
"As a school system, we've been at the forefront of technology and we feel that this will keep us at the forefront and move us forward. Society and technology are changing rapidly, the way our children interact is changing rapidly and after much search among our technology people and looking into the different instruments out there, we feel that the iPad is the best tool for teachers, faculty and students to use," said Fr. Michael Ferrick, president of the Elk County Catholic School System.
