The Elk County Catholic School System recently received scholarship grants made possible by local businesses participating in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
The tuition assistance grants were awarded through the STAR Foundation, a non-profit scholarship organization established by the Diocese of Erie, which works in partnership with the state’s EITC program.
Shown are members of the ECCSS administration and volunteer staff receiving the Meyer and Wagner contribution; left to right, Bob Ordiway, ECCSS volunteer business outreach coordinator and STAR Foundation director; Tom Wagner, Meyer and Wagner Law Firm partner; Fr. Michael Ferrick, ECCSS president; Jake Meyer, Meyer Wagner Law Firm partner; and John Schneider, St. Marys Catholic Middle School principal.
The Meyer and Wagner firm has been committed to supporting scholarship for Catholic education through the EITC program for many years.
